| 학교소개 및 특징 | 캘리포니아 대학교 로스앤젤레스캠퍼스는 미국 캘리포니아 주 로스앤젤레스에 있는 공립 종합대학이다. 'UCLA'라는 이름으로 국내에 더 많이 알려져 있다. 미국 캘리포니아 주에는 캘리포니아 주립대학교를 뜻하는 'UC(University of California)'라는 명칭을 쓰는 학교가 많이 있다. UCLA 외에 흔히 버클리 대학교로 많이 알려진 캘리포니아 대학교 버클리(University of California, Berkeley)도 'UC버클리'로 불린다. 이들 두 학교 외에 UC어바인(UC Irvine), UC데이비스(UC Davis), UC리버사이드(UC Riverside), UC머시드(UC Merced), UC샌디에이고(UC San Diego), UC샌프란시스코(UC San Francisco), UC샌타바버라(UC Santa Barbara), UC샌타크루즈(UC Santa Cruz) 등 모두 10개 대학이 같은 계열에 속해 있다. 캘리포니아대학교 로스앤젤레스캠퍼스는 이들 UC 계열 학교를 대표하는 명문대학이며 이들 가운데 두 번째로 오래 된 역사를 가지고 있다. 캘리포니아 대학교 로스앤젤레스캠퍼스는 1919년 캘리포니아 대학교 남부 분교(Southern Branch of the University of California)라는 이름으로 처음 설립됐다. 1927년 교명을 지금의 이름으로 바꿨다. 1969년 미국 국방부 산하 고등연구계획국(Advanced Research Project Agency)이 인터넷의 전신인 아파넷(ARPAnet)을 개발했다. 이 아파넷이 최초로 연결한 두 대학 가운데 하나가 캘리포니아 대학교 로스앤젤레스캠퍼스였다 |

| 입학조건 | English Proficiency: UC Merced requires one of the following proficiency exams from all international freshman applicants whose native language is not English: A score of 560 or better on the English Writing section of the SAT Reasoning Test. OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) − a score of 7 or better on the (academic modules) band score.
