GCU London launches new insurance Master’s programme
The postgraduate campus of Glasgow Caledonian University, in London's financial district, has recently launched a new Master’s in Insurance and Sustainable Risk Management.

INTO 와 함께 하시면 UKVI IELTS 시험 비용도 줄이고 시간도 줄여서 학생들이 더 만족할 수 있을 것입니다.
영국 학생 비자 (PBS Tier 4 GSV – Point Base System Tier 4 General Student VISA) 를 받기 위해서는 가장 중요한 영어 성적이 있어야만 합니다.
INTO 에서는 UKVI IELTS 를 대신할 수 있는 영어 시험을 Cambridge ESOL 오랜 공동 연구 끝에 IELA 라는 시험을 도입하기로 했습니다.
물론 모든 교육 과정에 대해서 이 시험을 적용할 수 없지만 UKVI IELTS 시험 없이 (또는 낮은 점수와 공동으로 사용하여) 자체 입학 시험으로 대체할 수 있게 되었습니다.
- 시험명: IELA (INTO English Language Assessment)
- 시험 적용: 2016년 9월 입학하는 학생부터 적용 가능
- 적용대상 과정(아래의 교육 과정 중에서 INTO Manchester, INTO London 에서 제공하는 교육 과정 제외)
* NQF Level 6 이상의 교육 과정: Graduate Diploma, Integrated Programme, University of Exeter 의 경우에 학부 및 석사 과정 Direct 입학, Newcastle University (및 London Campus 포함) 의 경우에 현재 잠시 보류된 상태임)

영국의 학생 비자를 받기 위해서는 SELT 에서 규정한 시험을 보아야만 하는데 한국에서는 IELTS UKVI 테스트만이 이에 해당되며 현재는 영국문화원과 IDP 를 통해서 시험을 볼 수 있습니다. 하지만 시험 비용도 비쌀 뿐만 아니라 시험이 자주 있지 않습니다.
INTO 에서는 이러한 문제의 개선을 위해서 최선을 다하고 있으며 몇가지 좋은 소식을 전해 드립니다.
1. IELTS UKVI 안내 사이트 운영: www.intohigher.com/IELTS-UKVI
IELTS UKVI 시험에 대한 자세한 설명 그리고 어떠한 과정에서 이 시험이 필요한지 등에 대해서 안내가 되어 있습니다.
2. JV Centre 즉 INTO Manchester 와 INTO London를 제외한 모든 센터에서 제공하는 Graduate Diploma 및 학사 및 대학원 과정을 지원하는 경우에 IELTS UKVI 시험이 아닌 IELTS Academic 으로도 비자가 가능합니다.
3. 2015년 4월 6일 ~ 4월 23일 사이에 본 IELTS Academic 시험도 INTO 학생은 SELT 로 인정 받을 수 있습니다. 단 2015년 11월 5일까지 비자를 신청해야만 합니다. (첨부한 안내 파일 참고 하세요)
4. University of Stirling(London Campus 포함) 에서는 대학 및 대학원 과정과 함께 Foundation, Diploma 그리고 Graduate Diploma 과정을 함께 묶어서 비자를 받을 수 있도록 CAS 를 발행하며 이러한 경우에 SELT 가 아닌 일반 IELTS 시험 성적으로 비자 신청 가능합니다.(첨부한 안내 파일 참고 하세요)
5. SELT 시험인 IELTS UKVI 시험 점수가 필수적으로 요구되는 교육 과정을 지원해서 입학 허가를 받았거나 또는 입학 지원을 할 계획에 있는 학생들에게 1000 파운드의 Bursary 를 자동으로 지급합니다. (첨부한 안내 파일 참고하세요) INTO 에서 제공하는 IELTS UKVI 시험을 위한 IELTS Support Bursary 적용 대상학생 및 과정이 확대 적용이 됩니다.
- 대상 과정: INTO 에서 제공하는 모든 Academic Course – A-Level, Foundation, Diploma, Graduate Diploma, Undergraduate, Graduate Course, EUS+Academic course
- 학업 시작일: 2015년 8월 ~ 11월 사이에 학업 시작하는 경우에 한함
- Bursary 금액: 1,000 GBP
(이미 컨펌했거나 다른 장학금을 받았거나 다른 혜택을 받은 경우에 중복 적용이 되지 않습니다.)
현재 INTO UK 의 대부분의 기숙사는 9월 학기 시작의 경우에 가능하지만 저희 기숙사 배정의 원칙은
Confirm (학비 및 기숙사 보증금 각 1000파운드, 보험료 납부, Acceptance form 에 서명)을 하는 순서대로 하는 것입니다.
즉 입학 허가 신청한 기숙사가 나와 있고 그 비용을 납부했다고 하더라도 늦어지는 경우에 일순위로 선택한 숙소가 되지 않을 수 있습니다.
매해 학업을 시작하는 학생들이 숙박 때문에 문제가 많이 있으니 이번에는 조금은 빨리 컨펌이 될 수 있도록 해주시면 좋겠습니다.
참고로 컨펌을 한 후라고 하더라도 입학 조건에 못미쳐서 학업을 포기하는 경우에 납부한 보증금은 환불이 되며(4주 전 취소)
아니면 학업 시작 시기를 다음 학기로 Defer 또한 가능하며 이러한 경우에 납부한 보증금은 그대로 보존이 됩니다. 첨부한 파일은 5월 말 기준 숙소 상황을 나타낸 것이니 참고하시기 바랍니다.
