New courses at IH Bristol
We are delighted to announce a NEW course for 17-19 year olds this summer:
Future Leaders & Entrepreneurs.
The course is designed for young adults, to develop practical skills for their future careers. Over the two weeks, students will work on a business idea in small groups, participating in workshops, seminars and group practice sessions, culminating in a final presentation to the group.
The course will take place in July, with residential accommodation available for over 18s and homestay accommodation for all.
(When booking, please note the total number of course weeks the student would like to study and we will apply the promotion to their invoice)
& Junior students can bring a friend for half price!
when booking the same Junior course at the same time - equal to a 25% discount per person!
Both offers are available for courses booked before 31st March 2022, taking place any time.

Covid-19 & Travel Update
In a change to our previous policy, we are pleased to confirm we are now accepting all adults regardless of their vaccination status; please note that any student who is not fully vaccinated will be required to wear a mask/face covering at all times when indoors.
From 4am on Friday 11th February, anyone arriving in the UK who is fully vaccinated OR under 18 will no longer be required to take a test before or after arrival (unless they have symptoms). All arrivals must still complete a Passenger Locator Form.
With these new changes, the UK is one of the most 'open' destinations to study English in the world! We look forward to welcoming more and more students back to IH Bristol over the coming weeks and months.
Our current offer of a free upgrade from General English to Intensive English/IELTS is still available for bookings received before 30th November 2021. Students booking before this date will also benefit from 2021 prices for 2022 courses (accommodation/transfer prices already apply)

Summer of exam success
While we wait for more information about the government's "traffic light" system plans for UK arrivals this summer, we want to keep our courses as accessible as possible to students who's plans have continued to be disrupted this year.
We are therefore pleased to offer NEW dates for FCE/CAE preparation courses this summer: 24th May - 30th July 2021
The cost of the full 10 week package is GBP2695, including the exam, summer supplement and course books.
It is possible to study fewer weeks, but we would recommend 4 as a minimum. In this case, the normal weekly price would apply.
Usual booking/cancellation terms apply, but don't forget we are offering free postponement in case students need to change their plans last minute due to illness or changing travel guidance.

The sun is shining in Bristol - it's great to be back!
After weeks of online-only classes, we were delighted to reopen for face-to-face teaching yesterday. Many of our current students actually began their courses in January, so it was great to finally meet them in person after all this time!
While the restrictions regarding international travel remain in place, many of our classes will be in hybrid format to allow complete flexibility where students are required to self-isolate on arrival to the UK, or in the event they come into contact with/show symptoms of coronavirus.
You can trust that whatever happens, students' studies will continue uninterrupted.

Current travel guidance
All arrivals to the UK must quarantine for 10 days. Arrivals from countries on the UK's "red list" must do so in a government-organised hotel accommodation, however all other arrivals can do so in privately arranged accommodation, including our residence and homestay families. Students can join their classes remotely during quarantine before moving seamlessly to face-to-face classes as soon as they are permitted.
We want your students to be able to book with peace of mind, so we continue to offer free and flexible postponement for face-to-face bookings in case students' plans change. Normal cancellation terms apply.

This week the UK government confirmed schools will stay online until at least 8th March 2021. We are looking forward to welcoming students back to face-to-face/hybrid classes as soon as it is safe to do so, but in the meantime are pleased to confirm the following special offers on our online courses:

UK Lockdown(2020.11.5~2020.12.2까지) Update

As you will have heard, the UK government has announced a second national lockdown for England which will come into effect from Thursday 5th November for 4 weeks until 2nd December 2020. After this date, the plan (at the time of writing) is to then ease restrictions and return to the ‘tiered’ system of local and regional measures. Currently, Bristol is in Tier 1, with the least amount of restrictions in place.
The important difference between this lockdown and the UK’s first lockdown in March is that schools and universities are allowed to stay open, while all hospitality and leisure businesses and non-essential shops must close.
We are therefore pleased to confirm that in line with government guidancenbsp;International House Bristol will remain open and teaching face-to-face classes during the November lockdown period.
New students are welcome to join us for online and face-to-face courses ? see our full range here and our COVID-19 Safety Measures & FAQs here. Should any student be required to self-isolate during their course, they will be able to join classes remotely via zoom, just as our recent new arrivals have successfully been doing over the past weeks.
Back in March, we introduced an online social programme and since then have continued to offer 2 online social activities per week together with IH Galway, Manchester & Portsmouth, allowing students even more opportunity to connect and practise their English with students all over the world. These events will continue as planned and everyone is welcome; we hope to see as many of you there as possible! International House Bristol is now an official OET exam centre.
Please note that we are no longer taking bookings for students coming to Bristol from 2nd July to 27th July who require homestay accommodation
We still have limited availability for students arranging their own accommodation. For adult students requiring residential accommodation we still have availability from the 14th July onwards
Please note our Junior Summer Camp is now fully booked for the weeks commencing 2nd & 9th & 16th July.
We still have very limited availability week commencing 23rd July, Plenty of availability from the 30th July onwards.
