The Study Travel Awards are an opportunity for agents and education providers to celebrate success and recognise excellence in education and business performance. ELC is the only school in Australia to have been awarded ¡®Lifetime Superstar¡¯ status, and now we have the opportunity to win the Leading Star award 2019which is only open to Super Star winners!
Did you know that ELC is currently one of the very few English language schools in Sydney to be ranked as an ¡°Evidence Level 1¡± school? (formerly known as ¡°Risk Rating¡± 1) Today we are very excited to announce that we will keep this status until 01/09/2019 at least! We hope this gives you all the confidence you need to promote ELC as a top choice for quality English courses in Sydney for your clients!
For those of you who are not familiar with the system, since July 2016, the new SSVF System (Simplified Student Visa Framework) determines the level of supporting documents a student visa applicant needs to provide based on 2 factors:
A risk rating assigned to their country of origin
A risk rating assigned to their chosen school
These risk ratings are calculated and assigned by the Department of Home Affairs following a number of factors relating to overall student visa applications outcomes.
Since the introduction of this new system, ELC has quite consistently maintained the top ranking of level 1! This excellent and highly sought after ranking reflects on both the quality of the school, the genuine intention of our students to follow a serious curriculum as well as the quality of work our carefully selected education agents put into each student visa application.
We¡¯d therefore like to thank all of you for your diligence and hard work and we look forward to welcoming many more of your students to ELC in the coming months!

Activity Highlights Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is celebrated in many cultures and it is so interesting to hear how different countries celebrate this special day.
You could certainly feel the love at ELC earlier this month! This year we wrote messages to our friends and gave heart-shaped chocolates. Students had a great time taking cute and creative photos with friends or their partners. Some even sent selfies to loved ones back home!
We love being able to enjoy activities together in the ELC common area. Our next event to celebrate will be Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras is a hugely popular event in Sydney and the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival is famous across the world.
You can check out more pictures of these and other great activities on our Facebook page. You can also follow us in Instagram and YouTube!

Student testimonial
"I'm very happy to have studied at ELC! In this school everything is perfect!
I have made many friends and many of these I hope to keep the friendship for a long time. I was surprised how much passion every teacher puts into their work. I studied for just a short time but I'm sure I will miss this school very much.
In just a short time I improved my English a lot because the course is very intensive. The classes were also very easy to understand. The teachers are all wonderful! Thank you ELC!"

Activity highlight Trip to Featherdale Wildlife Park
Students absolutely loved the opportunity to get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos and other Australian wildlife at Featherdale Wildlife Park this month! A group of students set off from Central Station for a journey out to Blacktown. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day for our Aussie adventure. The reactions of students when they got to touch a koala were priceless! Not only could we see kangaroos and koalas, we also enjoyed the company of penguins, crocodiles, wallabies and more.

My private business class was great. The teacher was very passionate and kind. He was strict but in a good way that helped me to learn. He corrected every mistake in grammar and pronunciation. His lessons were enlightening because he based it on his own experience as a manager.
I loved the General English class, mostly because of the teacher. She was very cheerful, nice and passionate about teaching. She answered all of my questions and I learned many things. We had a lot of interaction in the class which helped me improve.
I feel like I have improved my English a lot in a short time because of all the teachers here.
