ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF ENGLISH - ESE
It may have been brought to your attention that a number of ELT schools may be reopening for face-to-face teaching today Monday 26th July 2021 to vaccinated in-house students.
As the legal notice (L.N. 299 of 2021 (B2232)) issued by the Government of Malta ordering the closure of schools as from 14th July 2021 has not yet been reversed or cancelled, ESE has no choice but to remain closed, in line with other FELTOM member schools, until this Legal Notice is withdrawn or cancelled. In the meantime, online lessons will continue as scheduled.
We are working closely with FELTOM (The Federation of English Language Teaching Organisations in Malta) and the Maltese Government to resolve this issue as soon as possible and we will keep you updated with any developments.

As you are probably aware, the Maltese Government has come up with an incentive to attract students to Malta. This scheme offers students interested in learning English in Malta free vouchers up to a value of EUR300. ESE will be facilitating this application for your students and we therefore kindly ask you to forward this email to your clients that have been confirmed with ESE from May 7th, 2021 and will be in Malta for at least 15 nights.
There are a few terms and conditions that your students need to abide by - please read below:
Terms & Conditions:
Students must be 13+ years old
Students must book for a minimum of 15 NIGHTS
Scheme available to students who booked from May 7th or later and arrive in Malta on June 1st 2021 or later till December 31, 2021
Vouchers have a value of EUR10 per night booked up to a maximum of EUR300 for 30 nights
Students can use vouchers at registered outlets including ESE and restaurants.
Students can use the vouchers for ESE course upgrades, accommodation upgrades, leisure activities
All documents (see list of documents below) and other details are required before ESE can apply for the vouchers on the students’ behalf
Vouchers will be given to the students’ on the students’ first week at ESE
A one million euro (EUR1m) fund is budgeted for this student voucher scheme
Vouchers issued on a first-come, first-served basis till the fund is used up.
What is required to apply?
1. Confirmation Letter of booking at ESE 2. Copy of the airline tickets to & from Malta 3. Copy of passport 4. Contact details of student 5. Consent authorising MTA to receive, store and use details solely for the purpose of this scheme
Once the above is received and all details are submitted to MTA by ESE, the application will reviewed, processed, approved and the vouchers will be sent directly to the student via ESE.
