Cariboo Hill:  (Linear School) Small school atmosphere, technical school, IT Academies at no extra charge!  (Microsoft Office Specialist Academy, DigiPen Game Design Academy, Cyber Security and Cyber Networking Academy).  Quiet neighbourhood.

Alpha:  (semester school, near Sky Train) Renovations of the school are now complete!  In 2018 we had half of the school totally rebuilt, the new wing is beautiful!  Also in the surround area (Brentwood town centre Sky Train station) there is a huge beautiful shopping and apartments complex development underway:  https://www.theamazingbrentwood.com/

This is to inform you that we are anticipating closing Moscrop Secondary school by this Friday, January 18, 2019. (for September 2019 intake)

We still have space at all of our other schools and will continue to keep you updated with school closures. 

Please review followings for your information. 

 1. We expect to close Byrne and Alpha by this Friday (October 26, 2018).

 2. BURNABY SECONDARY SCHOOLS ? February 2019 Admissions Update

• We are still accepting applications for the following Burnaby secondary schools: Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby North, Burnaby South, and Cariboo Hill

• The following secondary schools have only a few spaces left, which we expect to fill by the end of the week: Alpha and Byrne Creek

• The following secondary schools are still closed for admissions: Burnaby Central and Moscrop

• We expect to close February intake applications by December 1^st.

• If you will be requesting a Langara Homestay, please note their deadline is November 1^st. After that date, Langara will only accept applications on a case-by-case basis and if homestays are still remaining. There are other excellent homestay agencies in the area that you can also apply to as well. We can give you a few options for you to contact.

BURNABY ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: We are still accepting applications for our elementary program. Please visit our website for any updates regarding elementary admissions.

Please monitor the Study Permit processing times for your country, as we do not allow deferrals to a subsequent intake. Rather we will hold on to the student’s seat for when they arrive. There is no partial refund provided for late arrivals.

Please Note:

The Burnaby School District will still be accepting applications after November 1^st for January / February 2019 Intake and it is only Langara Homestay that has a November 1^st deadline date for their applications.

홈스테이가 필요한 학생들의 경우는 홈스테이가 없는 관계로 신청서를 받을수 없지만

어머님이 함께오셔서 아파트를 직접 구하거나, 홈스테이를 구할수 있는 경우의 학생들은 아직도 학교에 자리가 있는 경우 받아주실수 있다고 합니다.

2019/9월학기 원서도 이미 지원서 받고 있으니 2019년 9월학기 지원코자 하시는 경우는 지원해 주셔도 좋습니다.

Burnaby SD의 경우 2019/9월학기 원서 접수는 온라인으로 하며, 10/25일날 오픈할 예정이라고 합니다.

그리고 2019/2월학기 지원할수 있는 학교는 아직 가능한 학년과 학교 이름 아래에 나와 있습니다.

-Cariboo Hill: Grades 8,9,10 (linear)
(in cases that students have strong English you can request a linear school for grade 11 in February intake).
 *We always list on the application page the schools that are full.  Apply for your top choice no matter what, and pick 2 back up schools.
